The international conference EquipAid was the first to be dedicated to medical equipment support projects for healthcare facilities in the field of international aid. The overall purpose with the conference was to create a platform and structured network for a more efficient cooperation between actors in the field as well as encourage synergies. During the two days a number of subjects were addressed in plenary sessions, round table discussions and in networking activities for the 200 participants who came from all corners of the world.
Anders Lygdman had the opportunity to give a presentation under a plenary session and participate in a round table discussion under the theme Sharing for better healthcare: tools, services and innovative initiatives for quality medical equipment support projects were he outlined the development of the international material aid program that Sahlgrenska I.C. is responsible for in Region Västra Götaland, our experiences and lessons learnt.
The conference took place in Chamonix,France, and was organised and funded by, among others, the French organisation HUMATEM, theEuropeanHospitaland Healthcare Federation (HOPE), the French Hospital Federation (FHF), the European Union (EU) through Europeaid.
